Theme: The World to Come

Text: “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come into mind.” – Isaiah 65:17.

Comment: The leading text for today assures us of the fact that a new order of things would be brought into action by God. According to Revelation 12:7-12, the creation of the new heaven was perfected when the devil was driven to the earth and the angels sang for joy. Now, God’s attention is focused on this earth which He is already making new through His son, Jesus Christ. The evils of today’s world will not continue forever. (Isaiah 3:10) In God’s due time all of man’s pains will be forgotten. God has promised to restore man to perfection in the new world – the World to Come. Emphasizing His sure promises, the Almighty God declared: “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it…” – Isaiah 43:18-20.
