Text: “…Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.” – Psalm 148:1, 2.
Comment: Making of music or singing of songs in the service of God is not limited to human creatures as can be understood in the declaration by the Psalmist as stated in the text for today. It is on record that the Morning stars sang a duet when the foundation of the earth was laid. (Job 38:6, 7) At the birth of Jesus Christ into this world, “a multitude of the heavenly host” sang in praise of God. (Luke 2:13, 14) God’s majesty, excellency and awesome acts should continue to inspire us to break out in songs of praises to Him all the days of our lives as God takes pleasure in them by His grace. “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” – Psalm 22:3.
