Theme: WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A CHRISTIAN
Text: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6.
Comment: Faith is a very important requirement in the life of a true Christian, because it demonstrates our trust and belief in God and His power to give salvation to mankind. (Isaiah 45:22) By faith, the ardent worshipper of God would overcome trials and tribulations, which may come their way at the instance of Satan the devil. (1 John 5:4; Matthew 21:21, 22) There is the need for us to receive the word of God with faith and practise it so as to be saved by God’s grace. “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” – Hebrews 4:1, 2.
