Theme: IT SHALL BE WELL WITH THE RIGHTEOUS
Text: “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.” – Hebrew 11:4.
Comment: Abel was the first righteous man on earth. His demonstration of faith and righteousness was marvelous. He was a keeper of sheep. He brought an offering that pleased God more than Cain’s offering. Today, he is being spoken of as a righteous man to teach people about faith in God and the doing of things that are pleasing in His sight. The account is recorded at Genesis 4:2-5. In I John 3:12 we are counseled not to be like Cain who was wicked by killing his brother Abel. While Cain’s works were evil, that of Abel was righteous.
