Theme: THE WILL OF GOD

Text: “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” – Hebrews 10:35, 36.

Comment: Apostle Paul, in the leading text, emphasises the certainty of a reward for those who have patience and absolute confidence in God. This patience and confidence in God, which encourages and emboldens one in the face of persecution, will enable one to carry out the will of God.

The last part of a trip could be the hardest. This is the same for faith during difficult times. We tend to give up at certain difficult stages of our lives whereas this is actually the time to hold on to our faith. (Isaiah 30:18; Romans 8:35-39) Those who did not cast away their patience and confidence in God, will receive “the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.” – 1 John 2:25.
