Theme: THE WILL OF GOD
Text: “Not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart”. – Ephesians 6:6.
Comment: In the words of apostle Paul, God’s people are to serve Him, doing His will from the heart. The heart condition of the worshipper validates his or her service to God. (Proverbs 4:23) Doing the will of God from the heart requires us to be industrious, conscientious, submissive and totally obedient to the laws and commandments of God. We should not pretend to be hardworking in the presence of our earthly masters as we see today in the world. When a high personality is visiting, then we see ‘window dressing’ – streets are kept tidy, roads are put in order but as soon as the personality has left, everything returns to its previous state. The Holy Bible warns: “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” – Colossians 3:23, 24; 1 Corinthians 10:31.
