Text: “And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places”. – Isaiah 32:17, 18.
Comment: Even with the buffetings from Satan the devil, the righteous are confident in their belief that it is not vain to serve God, the comfort, glories, and beauties of the “land of rest”, should suffice us to put away the evil of our doing and lay aside every distraction capable of making us derail from the path that leads to life, in that, no challenge should be considered insurmountable, nor sin too pleasurable as to make us castaways at the end. (1 Corinthians 9:27; Hebrews 12:1-3; 1 Timothy 4:16) A universal government, with Christ as King, that affords us a life devoid of ill-health, (Jeremiah 33:6) deformity, (Isaiah 35:5, 6) want, (Isaiah 65:24) chaos, (Isaiah 65:25) defilement, (Revelation 21:27; 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10) “Above all, free from hands of death”, is worth the effort, by God’s grace.
