Theme: WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A CHRISTIAN

Text: “In your patience possess ye your souls.” – Luke 21:19.

Comment: Patience simply means “waiting on God’s time without complaining, constancy of faith and total submission to the will of God”.  In the midst of adversity and tribulations, we should be focused and look to God with patience and He will come through for us by His grace and power. (Psalm 27:14; 31:24) Jesus Christ our Redeemer is a typical example of people who exercised patience. “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2) Patience is the demonstration of our trust in God Almighty and his will. – Isaiah 40:28-30.
