Theme: IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD
Text: “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the Most High: and call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Psalm 50:14, 15.
Comment: The beauty in giving gratitude to the God of our Salvation, lies in the fact that, when we so do, we enter into a cycle with our Maker, in that, He bestows on us His benevolence, we in return, offer Him thanks, and in acknowledgement of this, He does more for us, thereby justifying the saying that “appreciation is an application for more”. What a privilege it is, to enter into such a wonderful relationship with our Maker! God’s promises are sure, and as such, can be relied upon. In addition to granting us deliverance when we meet the storm, He promises us His salvation. (Psalm 9:9, 10) The Psalmist declared: “Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.” – Psalm 50:23.
