Theme: FORGIVENESS
Text: “Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.” – 1 Timothy 5:20.
Comment: In exercise of His great love, God sent Jesus Christ to redeem mankind from sin and death. Those who believe in Him will be saved (John 3:16, 17; Romans 5:18-21). God purges His children when they err, and forgives when they repent, so that they be not “condemned with the world”. (1 Corinthians 11:31, 32) Scripture says: “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” (Hebrews 12:6; Proverbs 27:5) Thus, chastisement for sin serves as deterrent both to the offender and others, to refrain from such ungodly acts by the grace of God. “…for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.” – Isaiah 26:9.
