Theme: BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD
Text: “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” – John 6:38.
Comment: God Almighty showed His love to mankind when he sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ into the world to redeem man from sin and death. (John 3:16) From the statement of Christ in the text for today, it is clear that he adhered to his father’s instruction or directive and his mission here on earth was successful. Apostle Paul declared concerning Christ: “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” (Philippians 2:9, 10) Thus, Jesus Christ has given us an example to follow and tenaciously heed to, by doing the will of God, for our own blessings and eventual salvation by His grace. – John 13:17; 1 Corinthians 11:31,32.
