Theme: BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD

Text: “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.” – Proverbs 28:9.

Comment: Some who call themselves worshippers of God subconsciously turn their ears so that they will not hear the law of God. They deliberately boycott God’s gatherings for flimsy reasons.  Scriptures enjoin us: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25) If we want God to hear our prayers, then we should endeavour to give priority to the things of God. (Matthew 6:33; Mark 8:38) True worshippers of God should make conscious effort to be refreshed with God’s word and also to put them to practise so that our prayers will not be an abomination to God Almighty. God forbid! – Psalm 66:18; Proverbs 15:8.
