Theme: WHERE CAN PEACE AND SAFETY BE FOUND?
Text: “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” – Psalms 119:165.
Comment: The knowledge of God’s laws and the practice of righteousness gives peace of mind; just as “clear conscience fears no accusation”. “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding…Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.” (Proverbs 3:13-17) There is this calmness of heart, inner joy and satisfaction that goes with doing what is right. It may not be easy sometimes, but for sure it is worth it. When we run away from sin and do the will of God, we would sleep well, without our conscience disturbing us. (1 John 3:20, 21) “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other”. – Psalms 85:10; Hebrews 13:20, 21.
