Comment: As all Judah stood before God with their little ones and their children and their wives, God sent this heart-lifting response through Jehaziel, the son of Benaiah, a Levite. He said they would gain victory over their enemies without having to fight in battle. The assurance had been given.  How it will come to pass, only the Almighty knew. This is where faith in the power of God comes in for nothing is impossible with Him. True to the words of the prophecy, the Hebrews did not fight at all yet gained complete victory over their enemies as the invading nations engaged in an act of self-destruction. David the Psalmist declared: “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.” (Psalm 46:10, 11) “The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.” – Psalm 9:9, 10.

We can see vividly that it is most rewarding to pray and wait for God. When one encounters certain problems in the service of God, one should pray and after praying, one should, with faith, patiently wait for God’s answer. Christ said: “In your patience possess ye your souls.” – Luke 21:19.
