Text:“Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.” – Deuteronomy 10:16.
Comment: Circumcising the foreskin of the heart refers to the removal of sin from the body. (Colossians 2:11) Therefore, one whose heart is circumcised, repents of his sins, fears God in all he does and serves Him with a true heart. (Hebrews 10:22-24; James 4:8) Moses the Prophet told the Israelites: “And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.” (Deuteronomy 30:6) Speaking concerning the spiritual Jews, St Paul stated, “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” – Romans 2:28, 29.
