Theme: CULTIVATING FRUITFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER

Text: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?” – 2 Corinthians 6:14, 15.

Comment: The Holy Bible frowns at association with ungodliness or evil. The leading text for today calls for spiritual circumspection so as not entangle oneself in the yoke of sin and wickedness contrary to the will of God. It is written in 1 Corinthians 10:21: “Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils”. See also Matthew 6:24. Our spiritual relationships should be clothed with the truth and righteousness of God as anything tainted with falsehood, darkness or unrighteousness would not profit anyone. “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, …and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” – James 1:27.
