Theme: RECEIVING THE KINGDOM OF GOD AS A LITTLE CHILD

Text: “Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.” – Philippians 3:15.

Comment: Faith in God entails unwavering confidence in Him for a favourable outcome in whatever situation we find ourselves, as well as, complete submission to His will even when the outcome may not be convenient for us. This again, we find in children. Isaac’s diligence propelled him to observe that all materials necessary for the burnt offering were available, “but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” Upon his discovery that he was the supposed “lamb” for the exercise, he never offered any resistance but held his peace. (Genesis 22:1-18) This was no doubt, an expression of total submission to his father. When one says, “I leave things to God”, he should be seen to have actually surrendered himself to the will of God, and not try to interfere with God’s workings. – Isaiah 46:9-11; Acts 15:18.
