Text: “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.” – Psalm 27:4
Comment: One important point every child of God should note is that the vow of every Christian, as did David, is to serve God in His organization all the days of his life. This vow should be kept without wavering. From the text under reference, King David further affirmed his determination to serve God in His Kingdom when he stated: “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” (Psalm 84:10) Knowing full well that the devil is bitterly opposed to those who are given to the true worship of God, children of God should remain faithful and committed to the service of God, even though they suffer reproach and persecutions along the way.
