Theme: THE ANTITYPICAL ARK OF NOAH
Text: “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually… And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air…” – Genesis 6:5-8.
Comment: After mankind multiplied on the earth, sin increased to an intolerable degree and God Almighty the Creator of the world, resolved to destroy it. (Genesis 6:3, 11-13) The unlimited power of God to give His righteous judgements was clearly manifested when He destroyed the first world with deluge, but saved Noah and his family of seven, who, because of their righteousness, found grace in the eyes of the LORD. (Genesis 6:8, 17-22; 2 Peter 2:5) It follows that only those who are righteous will be saved in the final end of the world when God will destroy this evil world just as He destroyed the world of Adam. (Zephaniah 1:14-18) “Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.” – Proverbs 11:4.
