Theme: The World to Come

Text: “Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” – 2 Peter 3:13.

Comment: Contrary to what many believe, this evil world of sin will not continue forever. God Almighty has promised to “create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. (Isaiah 65:17) Likewise, He has appointed a day to destroy all wicked elements from the face of the earth. (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9) However, those that are obedient and continue till the end will be delivered to inherit the new earth filled with righteousness by God’s grace. (Isaiah 1:20; 1 John 2:17) This prophecy, including all other promises of God are sure and must fulfill to the letter. So, being able to endure and live beyond the temptations and evils of this present age, which must come to pass, is critical to obtaining salvation in God’s Kingdom by His grace. – Matthew 24:12, 13.
