Theme: CULTIVATING FRUITFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER
Text: “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.”- Ecclesiastes 4:9,10
Comment: The text for today promotes the importance of team work. We should not do things in isolation. Jesus Christ demonstrated the importance of team work when he sent forth his disciples two by two (Mark 6:7; Luke10:1) Similarly in carrying out the work of God, Barnabas took Mark with him, while Paul chose Silas to work with. (Act 15:39,40) It is not good for one to be alone hence, one of the reasons for which God Almighty instituted marriage is companionship. “And the LORD God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him”. (Genesis 2:18) Let us endeavour to share our feelings and opinions with godly friends and Christian brethren so as to be guided properly in the Lord. – Proverbs 24:6.
