Theme: CULTIVATING FRUITFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER

Text: “Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? Why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?” – 1 Corinthians 6:7.

Comment: It takes humility to suffer oneself to be defrauded just as Jesus Christ did, while he was on earth. Concerning him, the Bible says: “Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously” (1 Peter 2:23) Jesus Christ taught his disciples to practice forgiveness. He declared, “Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.” (Luke 6:28, 29) Also St. Peter admonished: “Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing”. – 1 Peter 3:9.
