Theme: DISCIPLINE
Text: “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” – Psalm 27:14.
Comment: The discipline to exercise patience by waiting on God Almighty and His time is running in short supply in the world today. Many who are challenged, spiritually and otherwise, resort to self-help and are no longer patient or faithful in the service of God. We are therefore expected to show discipline in the midst of the myriads of problems plaquing mankind today by being contented, patient and faithful to God. The Bible says: “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:” (Romans 2:7; 1 Timothy 6:6-10) We are charged by the Psalmist in the text for today to wait on the LORD and be of good courage in all circumstances so as to be blessed and rewarded by the grace of God. – Psalm 9:9, 10.
