Theme: THE PENNY REWARD
Text: “For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel…” – Isaiah 5:7.
Comment: The “Vineyard” in the parable of the “Penny Reward”, stands for the Kingdom of God that would be established in the last days, where His sheep would be called through the preaching of the anointed Christians so as to work for their own salvation. As stated in the text for today, the Israel of God is the vineyard of God. (Galatians 6:16) Such ones who are privileged to be called into God’s Holy Organisation are expected to labour and work for their own salvation. (Philippians 2:12) St. Paul exhorts: “This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.” – Titus 3:8.
