Theme: IT PAYS TO SERVE TO GOD FAITHFULLY TILL THE END

Text: “Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth… If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.” – Joshua 24:14, 20.

Comment: We should always appreciate the goodness of God we enjoy daily, and reciprocate by worshipping Him faithfully and sincerely all the days of our lives. (Luke 1:74, 75; Titus 2:11-14) Those who in spite of the goodness of God on them, refuse to worship God will have themselves to blame. The example of the natural Israelites is apt in this case, concerning whom Apostle declared: “Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.” – Romans 11:20-23.
