Theme: THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PASSOVER
Text: “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” – 1Corinthians 10:11.
Comment: The events surrounding the institution of the Passover are typical of God’s plan for man’s salvation, through the redemptive sacrifice of the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls. (1Peter 2:25) The ceremonial aspects of God’s ordinances fore-shadowed matters of great spiritual significance, especially in this age. (Hebrews 10:1-4) To obtain perfection in the third world therefore, we should lay aside every distraction, so that we “may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened.” It is by so doing that we shall enjoy the full benefits of the precious blood of Jesus Christ, our Passover, God helping us. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” – 1 John 1:7.
