Theme: CULTIVATING FRUITFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER
Text: “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”- Ephesians 4:29.
Comment: The leading text admonishes Christians to avoid inconvenient jesting, foolish talks and unwholesome words. (Ephesians 5:3-7) King Solomon warned: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21) And Jesus Christ declared: “…Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36, 37) Let us always bear in mind St Peter’s admonition:“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: let him eschew evil, and do good: let him seek peace, and ensue it.”- 1 Peter 3:10,11.
