Theme: THE DANGER OF APOSTASY

Text: “LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.” – Psalm 15:1, 2.

Comment: Only steadfast Christians who endure to the end will have the hope of salvation. Maintaining godly standards throughout one’s lifetime should be our goals and priorities. The parable given by Jesus Christ in Mathew 13:1-10 shows that the vicissitudes of life will overwhelm many who follow Christ, but the ability to be steadfast and maintain our godly standards till the end should be held in the highest esteem. Jesus Christ warned: “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:12, 13) The erudite Apostle Paul counsels: “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” – Hebrews 10:38, 39.
