Theme: WHERE CAN PEACE AND SAFETY BE FOUND?

Text: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” – John 14:27.

Comment: True and enduring peace comes only from God through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. (Leviticus 26:6, Isaiah 9:6) Some speak of peace, but in their heart is war. (Jeremiah 9:8, Psalms 28:3) Others also speak for peace and safety but are ignorant of the will of God and the signs of the times. (Jeremiah 8:7, 15; I Thessalonians 5:1-8) Just as Solomon had peace on all sides during his reign, so too during the reign of the Greater Solomon (Jesus Christ), there would be universal peace on earth. And as tranquility reigns supreme in heaven owing to the expulsion of the Deceiver by Michael the Archangel; so too there would be serenity here on earth when the “Battle Axe” of God, Jesus Christ would once again defeat Satan in the impending battle. “For he is our peace…” – 1 Kings 4:24, 25, Revelations 20:1-3, 7-10; 21:1-5, Ephesians 2:13, 14; John 16:33.
