Theme: DILIGENCE IN GOD’S SERVICE
Text:“Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.” – Hebrews 2:1.
Comment: It is imperative for worshippers of God to listen diligently to the word of God whenever they attend Church gatherings or religious functions. The Bible says: “As you enter the Temple, keep your ears open and your mouth shut!” (Ecclesiastes 5:1 – Living Bible) All who are serious in serving God Almighty through His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, open their ears and retain in their hearts the word of God preached unto them. Diligence is required on our part to retain in our hearts and put into action the word of God for our own blessings and salvation by His grace. (James 1:22-25, 2 Timothy 2:15) Nothing should be done with eye service. Rather, we should work out our own salvation with fear and trembling – Ephesians 6:6-8; Philippians 2:12.
