Comment: One of the pillars of a successful and fruitful marriage relationship is “a virtuous woman”. Characteristics of a virtuous woman include diligence, chastity, charity, courage and the fear of God. (Proverbs 31:13-30) King Solomon added: “A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is rottenness in his bones.”(Proverbs 12:4) A virtuous woman builds her house and attracts favour and blessings from God. (Proverbs 14:1; 18:22) There are great benefits in living as virtuous women because “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised”. (Proverbs 31:30)Women are therefore admonished to learn and imbibe such biblical virtues that make them to become virtuous women by the grace of God.
