Theme: DISCIPLINE

Text: “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.” – Isaiah 26:20.

Comment: The Prophet Isaiah under divine inspiration clearly indicates that there is need for the children of God to be circumspect and discreet while remaining in God’s Holy organisation. This is because God had appointed a day in which He will destroy Satan the devil and all works of unrighteousness. (Isaiah 26:21) The text for today is a timely admonition for the people of God to remain in God’s organisation practicing His righteousness so as to be saved in the day of God’s wrath. – Proverbs 11:4. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ admonished: “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” (Matthew 10:16) This implies that we should be wise and circumspect like the serpent and remain harmless and innocent as the doves as we live in this perilous age so as to be saved by God. – Ephesians 5:15-18.
