Theme: IT PAYS TO SERVE TO GOD FAITHFULLY TILL THE END

Text: “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” – Colossians 3:23, 24.

Comment: The leading text for today emphasizes the benefit of serving God with a pure heart. No wonder, David the Psalmist prayed: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10) The example of king Amaziah, who “…did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart” (2 Chronicles 25:1,2) is apt. In all our dealings in the service of God, we should consider the admonition of Apostle Paul to wit: “Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.” – Ephesians 6:6-8.
