Theme: Guiding Against Despair
Text: “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”- Matthew 6:34.
Comment: Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ taught us to live one day at a time. The bad habit of anxiety, worry and fear of the future has led so many people into despair, depression and even suicidal attempts. Strive to abide by this admonition of Jesus Christ. It brings calmness, contentment and peace of mind by God’s grace. (Philippians 4:6,7) When we are anxious and worried about the future, we miss the happiness and strength we would have got at the moment. (Matthew 6:25-33) In Psalm 118:24, it is written, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it”.
