Theme: RECEIVING THE KINGDOM OF GOD AS A LITTLE CHILD
Text: “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.” – Genesis 18:19.
Comment: It is a mark of self-discipline for one to acquaint himself with the laws of God and to implement it thoroughly. Abraham had knowledge that as the head of his house, he is to rule over his wife (Genesis 3:16) and the children that God Almighty blessed him with. In the text for today, the Patriarch Abraham was commended as one who “…will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment…” Let us therefore, command our household to do justice and judgment like our father, Abraham and served God faithfully till the end. – Isaiah 51:2.
