Theme: ONLY IN JESUS CHRIST WILL MANKIND FIND REST
Text: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” – John 10:27-29.
Comment: The primary mission of Jesus Christ in his first advent is not only to preach the message of salvation but also, to shed his blood as a ransom to deliver mankind from spiritual captivity and to grant everlasting life to the faithful by the grace of God. (Luke 4:18-21; John 3:16) Among the children of men, those who love God and keep His commandments are designated as the sheep of Christ. (John 14:15) As expressed in the main text, such ones, if they continue in truth and righteousness, shall enjoy God’s protection, sustenance, providence and above all the freedom of Christ so as to be ushered into the universal kingdom of God when it is fully established by God’s grace and power. – Hebrews 3:14; 4:8-11.
