Theme: BUILDING UP YOURSELVES ON YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH

Text: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” –Ephesians 6:10, 11.

Comment: No period in the history of mankind is as dangerous as this age of the end of the world, known as the “last days”. The period which began in 1914 with the second coming or presence of the Lord, is notorious for its turbulence and devastation at the instance of Satan the devil, who goes about like a rabid dog, seeking for the destruction of the sheep of God. (1 Peter 5:8) It is a time for circumspection by the people of God (Luke 21:34-36; Ephesians 5:15,16); for one to draw near to God in prayers and doing of righteousness (James 4:8; Psalm 106:3) This is what the apostle of Christ meant when he admonished us “to be strong in the Lord”. In the “power of his might” means to trust in the Almighty God Who alone can grant one salvation through Jesus Christ. (Psalm 3:8; John 17:3) To overcome the wicked tricks of the arch-enemy, one should be equipped with the knowledge of God or “armour of light” as “we are not ignorant of his devices”.
