Theme: RECEIVING THE KINGDOM OF GOD AS A LITTLE CHILD
Text: “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 11:2.
Comment: It was the erudite apostle who made us to know that the head of the Church is Christ, he is the “Bridegroom”, while the Saints, spiritually speaking, are married to him, being the “Lamb’s Bride”. We, therefore, are God’s children in that, we have been purchased through the preaching of the truth. (Galatians 4:19) It is by virtue of this that we have become new creatures. It is imperative that there should be an evident regeneration in us by manifesting the fruits of the Spirit, as enumerated in Galatians 5:22, 23, and putting off “old things”, otherwise called the “unfruitful works of darkness” or the “weak and beggarly elements”. – 2 Corinthians 5:16; Ephesians 5:11; Galatians 4:8, 9.
