Text: “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” – Psalm 100:3.
Comment: We should acknowledge who God is and endevour to praise and worship Him. The purpose of man on earth is thus fulfilled by living right with God. (1 Samuel 12:24) Humans are born in sin (Psalm 51:5) and in this fallen state, sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:1, 2; Psalm 66:18) and makes it difficult for man to glorify God. God Almighty has great value for man and winks at our errors. Man is very precious in the sight of God and King David spoke on this when he declared: “What is man that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thine hands: thou hast put all things under his feet.” (Psalm 8:4-6) Therefore, when we reconcile ourselves to Him through His Son Jesus Christ, God will spiritually feed and sustain us by His grace. – Psalm 36:7-9.
