Theme: IT PAYS TO SERVE TO GOD FAITHFULLY TILL THE END
Text: “If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.” – John 12:26.
Comment: That God Almighty will reward His true worshippers was expressed by Jesus Christ during his earthly ministry. The Apostles who are to be with God and Jesus Christ in heaven, are to be rewarded with immortality. Other Christians are to be given everlasting life here on earth – the new earth. Today’s leading text clearly indicates that those who serve God faithfully will be honoured or rewarded by God. In Romans 2:7, 8 the Bible says: “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath”. Eternal life is sure for the righteous by God’s grace. – John 17:3; 1 John 2:25.
