Comment: Diligent and prayerful studies of the Scripture to obtain the true knowledge of God are immeasurably valuable before our Maker. King David the prophet prayed thus: “Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.” (Psalm 119:33, 34) Addressing the Christians in Rome, Saint Paul asserted: “Moreover, brethren I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.” – 1 Corinthians 15:1, 2.
