Comment: The indiscipline, lack of focus and carnality on the part of the Lot’s wife made her to disobey the instruction given to them not to look back. (Genesis 19:17) On the other hand, the discipline demonstrated by Lot and his two daughters in not looking back like their wife and mother is commendable. Those who have come to the knowledge of the truth should be disciplined, focused and not allow the things of the world (1 John 2:15-17) to prevent them from receiving the promise. (1 John 2:25) All who lack discipline and look back in running the race of salvation will be destroyed like Lot’s wife. (1 Corinthians 9:24-27) Jesus Christ counselled, “Remember Lot’s wife.” – Luke 17:32.
