Theme: FLEE YOUTHFUL LUSTS
Text: “But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.” – Proverbs 6:32, 33.
Comment: Adultery is an act of infidelity towards one’s spouse. It is breaking the covenant on which the institution of marriage is based. Looking ordinarily at a woman with lust is also an act of adultery punishable under the law of God. (Matthew 5:27, 28) The marriage bond should be kept inviolate by all parties who have engaged in it. The Bible says: “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” (Hebrews 13:4) As Christians, we should strive not to engage ourselves in this ungodly act but rather be satisfied with our spouses so that we can get the blessings and protections of God by His grace.
