Theme: WHERE CAN PEACE AND SAFETY BE FOUND?

Text: “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.” – Psalms 146:3,4.

Comment: One grave mistake people make is to trust in man or have confidence in his fellow flesh and blood to safeguard him. The question you need to ask yourself is: the person you hope to save you, has he saved himself? Humans are imperfect with short life span in this world. (Romans 7:21-24, Job 14:1-5) The nations of the world who trusted in the League of Nations were utterly taken aback and left desolate with the outbreak of World War II in 1939. On July 5, 2022, former Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe was assassinated publicly while delivering a campaign speech, despite the horde of security men with him. Also, a number of American Presidents have been killed despite their top-notch security officials. Brethren, peace and safety ONLY come from God. So, “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man…” – See Psalms 118:8, 9, 146:5; 127:1; Isaiah 26:4.
