Theme: FLEE YOUTHFUL LUSTS
Text: “And Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” – Romans 1:27.
Comment: One of the youthful lusts that is prevalent in the contemporary society is the practice of “LGBTQ” – Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning. The general spiritual state of the world today is most unhealthy. Integrity and morality have been thrown to the winds. Our institutions of higher learning are far from being beacons of morality and discipline. The text for today warns Christians never to succumb to the evils of homosexuality, lesbianism, incest, masturbation, bestiality, voyeurism etc., as it runs contrary to the laws of God. (Leviticus 18:22-24: 20:13-16) Those who engage in such acts will not escape the judgment of God. “…who knowing the judgement of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” – Romans 1:32.
