Text: “But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.” – Joshua 22:5.
Comment: It is worth mentioning that those who want to get blessings and life eternal from God Almighty, must display their love to Him by keeping His commandments as contained in the Holy Bible. (1 Peter 1:9; Romans 6:22, 23) Such ones are to eschew evils. In this regard Apostle Peter says: “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” – 1 Peter 3:10-12. See also Psalm 37:27.
