Human efforts cannot solve the problems of the world, says GKS President

The President of God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) the Church of the Living God,  Brother Godwin Ifeacho, has declared that human efforts to solve the problems of mankind would be of no avail unless governments and individuals allow themselves to be guided by the word of God and exercise His fear in their daily undertakings.

Speaking at the First Day Holy Convocation of the annual Christian Feast of Tabernacles held at St. Urhobo Square, Salem City, Warri on Sunday, December 15, 2019, Brother ifeacho stated that although various institutions in society had over the years been striving to reduce human fears, wants and anxieties to the barest minimum, they had largely been unsuccessful because they neglected the word of God and trusted only in themselves.

He said God will bless the people with peace when they seek Him with sincerity of heart and run away from evil.

Stating that the various projections by the United Nations for providing shelter for all, health for all, as well as for ending poverty, wars and so on had ended in failure, a minister of the Church, Brother Andrew Okocha noted in his sermon at the Feast assembly yesterday that despite the efforts of the world’s scientists, diseases were killing people every day. He said only God Almighty could end poverty, diseases, death and bring lasting peace to the world in His Kingdom when fully established on earth.

The first speaker for the day, Brother Alfred Nwabuikwu, stated that the main importance of the Feast of Tabernacles was the opportunity it afforded the people to hear the word of God which would move them to do His will for their blessings. He urged those who observe the Feast to do so with clean minds as those who are not spiritually minded would only be making the sacrifice of fools.

Before the evening convocation, the GKS President had dedicated some musical and sound equipment that had been purchased for use in open-air assemblies of the Feast of Tabernacles. Earlier in the day he had cut the tape to declare open the first phase of the interlocked roads in Salem City and also received hundreds of jubilant celebrants who returned to Salem City after processing through some streets in Warri as a demonstration of their faith in God Almighty and Jesus Christ and to invite people to the Feast of Tabernacles celebrations.

The Feast celebrations will end on Sunday December 22, 2019.

Yours faithfully,
