Theme: GIVING GOD THE KIND OF WORSHIP HE DESERVES
Text: “For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God.” – 2 Samuel 7:24.
Comment: True worshippers are known by God. He protects and cares for them. This, our Lord Jesus Christ made clear in John 10:27-29 when he said: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” King David who enjoyed the goodness and mercies God declared: “The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.” – Psalm 145:18, 19; 9:9, 10; Isaiah 45:22.
