Theme: MUSIC IN GOD'S SERVICE
Text: “I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praises unto thee.” – Psalm 138:1.
Comment: Music is a language of both the mind and the heart. A famous songwriter once said: “Words, make you think thoughts. Music makes you feel a feeling. But a song should make you feel a thought”. Our songs should express praise and love for our Heavenly Father, JEHOVAH, and make us feel closer to Him. Spiritually meaningful songs allow for a connection with God. It has been observed severally that some, in a feat of emotion, have had tears flowing freely from their eyes while pouring their hearts to the Lord in songs. Indeed, lyrics and melody of some well-composed songs do move the hearts of true worshippers to communicate with God Who is worthy “to receive glory and honour and power”. – Revelation 4:11.
