Theme: WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A CHRISTIAN
Text: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” – 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10.
Comment: The text for today is a stern warning to people of the world to stay away from sin in any shape or form and to live a godly life in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:22) We must live according to the principles as laid by our Lord and Master Jesus Christ by doing things that will glorify God. (Matthew 10:25) Apostle Paul said: “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” – Titus 2:11-14; Romans 12:1; 1 Corinthians 15:34; Galatians 5:19-21.
